Location

Wolfson College, University of Oxford is our wonderful location for UKPTS2024. Situated in the north of Oxford, along the River Cherwell, Wolfson is an all-graduate college.

Founded as Iffley College in 1965, philosopher Sir Isaiah Berlin served as first President until 1975. The College was renamed Wolfson College a year later, when it was renamed in honour of Sir Isaac Wolfson, who contributed toward the College’s foundation. The College’s buildings were designed by architects Powell and Moya, and Wolfson received its Royal Charter in 1981.

Wolfson’s motto is taken from the Roman playwright Terence: homo sum; humani nil alienum a me puto. “I am a human being; in my opinion nothing to do with human beings is foreign to me.”

Wolfson College can be found at Linton Road, Oxford, OX2 6UD.  On site parking is not available.
The College is located about 30 minutes walk north of Oxford city centre.
The local and park and ride bus services (e.g. Stagecoach 2, 2A, N2) stop at Linton Road. Please see Oxford Bus and  Oxford City Council for more, including details on park-and-ride services.  The Oxford Tube runs regular bus services to/from London.
